LARRY REINHART

     I painted Queen Beatrix for an invitational show that helped raise money for the study of the Colony Collapse Disorder in honey bees. I wanted a the queen to engage with the viewer with a cross between mad and frustrated look.  She's powerless to solve the problem, a bit upset at us for causing it and frustrated that we can't seem to notice the root cause.  The show went well, and perhaps with the additional funds, we can come closer to seeing that root cause.
